Abstract: Mediation and adjucation perspective on justice can differ - is what is agreed by the parties justice if adjudicative decisions might have been different? Examination of the issues uses a framework of “teams”: mediation evagelists, adjudication romantics, mediation realists and adjudication realists. The perspectives of each is examined and the
central role of education self-determination in ensuring mediation delivers justice.
Author Biography:
Hon. Dr. Sherif Elnegahy is an international mediator; mediated for several organizations
such as the UN ombudsman, IRM-Green Climate Fund and Cairo Economic court. He also,
acted as an international consultant for several international and governmental institutions
such as; UNDP, UN Women and the Saudi Ministry of Justice. He is a Fulbright and Chevening Alumni and was awarded the prestigious JAMS Weinstein and Rotary Peace Fellowships.
